Our Mission
The Cathedral Area Preservation Association (CAPA) of Joliet is a not-for-profit neighborhood organization dedicated to preserving, maintaining and promoting the historic Cathedral Area on Joliet’s near west side. (The Cathedral Area is defined as the neighborhood within the boundaries of Reed Street, Jefferson Street, Center Street and Plainfield Road.) CAPA strives to develop a prosperous community by educating neighbors about historic preservation and by promoting respect for old homes.

CAPA Board Meeting Schedule
- Monday, May 5, 2008; 7:30 p.m.
The CAPA Board of Directors (agendas click here) meets on the first Monday of each month (except in July and September) at the First Presbyterian Church (Raynor and Western) 2nd floor to review business matters, discuss major neighborhood issues, provide updates on projects, and address concerns of the neighborhood brought forward by residents and friends of CAPA.
