CAPA 2007 Neighborhood Cleanup Day

Thank you to everyone who took part in yesterday's neighborhood clean up.  There was a nice turnout and many neighbors were introduced.  The group canvased the Cathedral Area, with an extra focus on the areas surrounding the homes that will be featured on this year's This Olde Housewalk.  I'm sure the neighborhood will look great for the Housewalk in two weeks!  We did, however, get a job that we did not bargain for - repairing Preservation Park.  The night prior to the clean up vandals had ripped apart the picnic table benches.  During the clean up the benches were replaced and the tables were put back in there places. Following the clean up the group, along with other neighbors who joined in later, enjoyed a barbeque in Barber Park.  It was a beautiful afternoon and great to use a park that rarely is used for good purposes. 

Thanks again to all who pitched in!  We have such a beautiful neighborhood and it's great to see that it means so much to so many.
