First Presbyterian Church, 7:30pm
After the minutes of the February 7th meeting were approved and the treasurer's report placed on file, five candidates for Joliet City Council at Large and two candidates for the Joliet Park District Board were each allowed a few minutes to present their platforms. The police reported several incidents in the area. President Adamowski explained the logistics of the Candidates' Forum to be held at 6:30pm on March 15th at the Jacob Henry Mansion. Reports by various committee heads had been read and reviewed by the Board previous to the meeting. No further discussion was noted except that there has been some interest expressed in hosting a beer walk as a possible fundraiser. A committee was appointed to explore this idea. A formal budget will be developed, new materials will be added to the welcoming packet and more opportunities to expand the membership will be looked into. There will be a new pricing structure for the advertisers for the newsletter. Planning for the general membership meeting in May has begun. A neighborhood clean up date will be set in the near future. The next meeting will be held on Monday, April 3rd at 7:30pm at First Presbyterian Church. Cathedral Area Preservation Association members are encouraged to attend.
