Join the Cathedral Area Preservation Association!

The Cathedral Area Preservation Association (CAPA) of Joliet Illinois is a not-for-profit neighborhood organization dedicated to preserving, maintaining and promoting the Cathedral Area. CAPA strives to develop a prosperous community through historic preservation education and the promotion of respect for old homes.

CAPA is an all volunteer neighborhood organization. Membership is open to all. Whether you are a resident of the Cathedral area or just interested in our historic neighborhood, we encourage you to join us. We welcome volunteers in every aspect of the organization. While our annual Housewalk is our largest event each year, there are many areas in which to participate. Annual dues are only $15; $40 for three years. All new members receive a one-year complimentary membership.
